Obituary for Betty Ann Morris McCallister Betty Ann Morris McCallister
Covington Resident Was Longtime Area Bookkeeper

Ms. Betty Ann Morris McCallister, age 76, of Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Brian Center Nursing Care, Low Moor.

Ms. McCallister was born October 31, 1943 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ray Watkins Morris and Virgie Bland Morris.

During her working career, she was employed as a bookkeeper by both the Greenbrier Clinic and Westvaco.

She was a member of Hoke Chapel United Methodist Church where she played the piano for the church. Betty loved gardening, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Ms. McCallister is survived by a son, David Ray McCallister of Covington; a daughter, Lori McCallister Conner and husband, Chris of Covington; grandchildren, Mathew McCallister, Miles McCallister, Ben Spinks, Gage McCallister, Luke Conner and Aubrey Rae McCallister; two brothers, Gary Morris and Andy Morris; five sisters, Phyllis Lacks, Sandra Wolfe and husband, Larry, Linda Brown and husband, Gary, Martha Carter and husband, Dennis and Sarah Kimberlin and husband, Chuck; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. McCallister was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Miles McCallister; two brothers, Steven Morris and Edgar Morris; and a brother-in-law, Paul Lacks.

A private graveside will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Hoke Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating.

Family and friends may stop by Loving Funeral Home to pay their respects during normal business hours.
