Obituary for Leslie D. Leech Leslie D. Leech
Covington Native Worked With Dr. Thomas Stewart, Was "Bowler Of The Year"

Mrs. Leslie D. Leech, age 70, of Covington, Virginia died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her residence.

She was the wife of Wade W. Leech.

Mrs. Leech was born January 2, 1950 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Lester Edward Dudding and Doris LaRue Dudding.

She was a graduate of Covington High School.

Mrs. Leech was employed as a receptionist by Dr. Thomas Stewart for over thirty-five years before her retirement.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Over the years, Leslie was an avid bowler and took great pride in being named the "Bowler of the Year."

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leech is survived by a daughter, Dr. Shannon Leech Furhman and husband, Rick.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2020 at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Robert B. McClinic officiating.

Pallbearers will be Durwin Waddell, Gary Walker and others attending the service.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
