Obituary for Henry P. Palmer Jr. Henry P. Palmer Jr.
Lexington Resident Dies At Age 92

Henry P. Palmer Jr., 92, of Lexington, Virginia died on Monday, May 18, 2020.

Hank was born on February 19, 1928 in Langhorne, Bucks County, Pa.

He graduated from the Lawrenceville School in 1947 and attended the University of Virginia before starting his 43- in lumber and heating oil management, initially with his father's company (the Henry Palmer Company, Langhorne, Pa.) and then Meenan Oil Company in Clinton, N.J., from which he retired in 1993.

Hank served in the New Jersey National Guard from 1948 to 1955. He was very active in civic organizations in Bucks County, Pa., Hunterdon County, N.J., and most recently in Lexington. His most long-standing membership was with Rotary International where he was an active Rotarian since 1957, most recently with the Lexington Sunrise Rotary Club.

Hank was an avid outdoorsman throughout his life and enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking and tennis.

Hank is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Wetzel Palmer, as well as four sons, Henry P. Palmer III, William W. Palmer (Patricia), Timothy B. Palmer (Louann) and Bruce B. Palmer (Lucia), and eight grandchildren.

No services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be sent to Historic Fallsington, Inc. (4 Yardley Road, Fallsington, PA 19054).
