Obituary for Delano Lewis (Bruno) Jack Sr. Delano Lewis (Bruno) Jack Sr.
Lifelong Logger Enjoyed Dirt Track Racing

Delano Lewis (Bruno) Jack Sr., age 83, of 879 Virginia Avenue, Goshen, Virginia passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at The Woodlands Health and Rehab.

He was born October 22, 1936 to the late Jasper C. and Daisy Loving Jack.

He worked as a logger for most of his life and loved the outdoors, hunting, and gardening.

Mr. Jack was an avid dirt track racing fan who in 1972 won a mechanics race with a broken leg and especially enjoyed attending races at Natural Bridge Speedway. Mr. Jack also starred as an extra in the movie "Somersby".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Carlton Jack and Elizabeth Ann Deacon; a brother, Dennis W. Jack and an infant brother and sister.

He was survived by his loving wife, Margaret Gann Jack of Goshen; a son, Delano L. Jack Jr. and Vivian Matheney of Millboro; a grandson, Delano L. Jack III (DJ) and wife, Katherine of Roanoke; two sisters, Julia Forney and Ella Stark; two brothers, Jasper Jack Jr. and wife, Dorinda and Clinton Jack; a sister-in-law, Marie Jack, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Lloyd Via officiating.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all of the staff of The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations be made to the Goshen Volunteer Rescue Squad.
