Obituary for Wendell Wilson Bradley Wendell Wilson Bradley
Lexington Resident Dies At Age 66

Wendell Wilson Bradley, 66, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 surrounded by family at home.

Born December 21, 1953, he was the proud son of the late Elden Maxwell Bradley and Frances Wilson Bradley.

He is survived by his loving partner, Judy Newcomb; a daughter, Sarah Jane Douglas; a son, Zachary Lewis Bradley (Tara); grandchildren, Andrew Ryan Douglas, Harper Claire Douglas and Tucker James Douglas; a brother, Elden Maxwell Bradley Jr.; and a sister, Gayle Bradley Johnston (Bill).

With a true zest for life (and pyrotechnics), Wendell lived each day to the fullest.

He was a lively conversationalist with a wicked sense of humor and a beautiful smile. To know him was to love him, and while he often blazed his own path, he had a firm understanding of what was important.

He was guided by a love of music, and truly in tune with the rhythm of life whether he was in the church choir, his parents' garage, or simply sitting and enjoying nature. Wendell could fix just about anything and would gladly regale you with details of each project. "Fixing things" was his life's work, personally and professionally.

Wendell loved and protected us imperfectly, and fiercely; and in his honor, we will continue to do the same.

A graveside service and celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory
