Obituary for Jessica (Jessie) Brittany Hamilton Gordon Jessica (Jessie) Brittany Hamilton Gordon
Former Buena Vista Resident Dies In Florida At Age 36

A beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Jessica (Jessie) Brittany Hamilton Gordon, 36, of Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Jessie was raised in Buena Vista and graduated from Parry McCluer High School, where she loved playing basketball, volleyball and softball. She attended Bridgewater College in Bridgewater.

Her warm, friendly, and outgoing personality made Jessie someone you would naturally gravitate towards. Her smile and humor made everyone around her feel that she truly loved and cared about each of them. These qualities allowed Jessie to be instrumental in opening and operating seven Dunkin' Donut franchises. Her work ethic and dedication resulted in their franchises twice receiving Operator of the Year award, which she was most proud of.

Her beautiful and infectious smile would light up the room and warm your soul; her kindness and genuine love of others was ever present; and her fierce loyalty to family and friends never wavered.

Jessie's smile became even brighter when she married her best friend and soulmate, Jeff. The last year of her life was by far the happiest. Jessie loved her family with all her heart and never missed an opportunity to tell them. However, the relationship she was most proud of was her relationship with God. There wasn't a day that she didn't let her faith and light shine bright to others.

Jessie is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Gordon; parents, Randy and Betty Jo Hamilton; sister, Crissy Snead Elliott (Randy); niece, Josie Elliott; in-laws, Stan and Lenore Gordon; brother-in-law, Jason (Kelly) Gordon and their children, Silver and Ascher; loyal canine, Dunkin; and beloved many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed as she takes on her new role in the hand of God.

A burial will be held at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
