Obituary for Henry Hite Weeks Henry Hite Weeks
Longtime Former W&L Maintenance Supervisor Dies At Age 85

Henry Hite Weeks, 85, of Lexington, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

He was born to parents John and Erdice Weeks on August 20, 1934 in Rockbridge County.

He was married to the love of his life, Doris Bane Weeks for 63 years, who survives him. Henry is also survived by son, Stephen Weeks and wife, Jan, Tim Weeks and wife, Andi, David Weeks and wife, Rosa, and daughter, Cyndi Farrar and husband Chester. As well as six grandchildren, Jennifer Weeks, Marie Cash and husband, D.W., Robert Farrar and wife, Heather, Hannah Fine and husband, Caleb, Charleigh Farrar, John Weeks, and ļ¬ve great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Helen Ryan.

Henry was preceded in death by parents, John and Erdice Weeks, and brothers, H. P., Wade, Fred, and Harry Weeks, and sister, Dorothy Jones.

Henry retired from Washington and Lee University where he worked for 31 years as a maintenance supervisor. He was a faithful member of Lexington Baptist Church for 51 years where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and choir member. Also, he was a previous member of the Lexington Fire Department.

Henry loved to entertain family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and work ethic which he instilled in his children who dearly love their father.

The service was held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Lexington Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Saunders officiating. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
