Billy Joe Bostic, 76, of 108 Sherry May Street, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, June 18, 2020 in The Alleghany Health & Rehab Nursing Home in Clifton Forge.

Mr. Bostic was born July 3, 1943, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, a son of the late Willie Stanley Bostic and Hattie Rachel Jones Bostic.

He retired in 2006 from the water treatment department of MeadWestvaco after 42 years with the company.

He enjoyed playing his guitar and watching NASCAR on TV, especially his favorite drivers, Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He also enjoyed refinishing furniture and keeping his cars very clean!

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Pencie Humphreys Bostic of Covington; his daughter, Sandra Wiseman of Covington; his son, Dennis "Jake" Bostic of Frederick, MD; three grandchildren, Shannon Richmond and her husband, Chris, and Chris Wiseman and his wife, Evie, all of Covington. and Chelsea Wiseman of Roanoke; four great grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Richmond, Savannah Jade Richmond, Mayzlee Marie Wiseman and Cooper Neil Wiseman, all of Covington; two brothers, Ralph Bostic of Fairlea, WV and Clarence "Cooch" Bostic and his wife, Dreama of White Sulphur Springs, WV; two sisters, Anna Dial of Huntington, WV, and Mary Jane Cameron and her husband, Larry of Covington; several nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Walter Humphreys.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Frankie Watkins officiating.

Friends are requested to come in casual attire.

The family suggests that donations in Billy's name be made to the Alzheimers Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
