Wallace Walker Loudermilk, better known as Moe, was born February 16, 1935 in his parents home in Frankford, WV.

At age 85 on June 22, 2020, he succumbed to the debilitating illness of Alzheimer's Dementia and its secondary acute conditions.

Wallace graduated from Frankford High School and enlisted in the Air Force, serving during the Korean War as a bomber airplane mechanic.

In 1957 he married his wife of 60 years, Beulah, and they started a family. He worked a few years at Savannah Lane Quarry. He then worked as a welder and mechanic at Hercules Ammunition Plant in Covington and Radford, VA for 25 years.

After retirement, he pursued a welding degree at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College at age 65. He then worked for the WVDOT Bridge crew as a welder until his final retirement.

He served the community through various organizations, including Veterans of Foreign Wars, International Order of Odd Fellows, American Legion and Modern Woodman. He volunteered for Veterans Transportation Service, contributing untold service hours, driving veterans to and from doctors' appointments. He also participated at WVSOM as a standardized patient.

He enjoyed gardening and working outside. He had a passion for bluegrass music and was a talented, yet humble musician. He played the banjo, guitar, fiddle and the mandolin. He enjoyed playing with the original Mud Hole Patrol and long nights with other talented musicians at Charlie and Marie Loudermilk's house. He was liked by all who knew him and was rarely seen without a smile on his face. He was a hardworking man, loyal husband, devoted father and loving grandfather and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ira B. Loudermilk and Bessie Mae Boone Loudermilk; spouse, Beulah Sue Landrum Loudermilk,; brother, Nathan "Tubby" Daniel Loudermilk; daughter, Robin Elaine Loudermilk Dillon and grandson, Zackary Evan Dillon. He is survived by children, Diana Greene of Frankford, WV, Judith "Judy" Loudermilk, of Anthony, WV, Jeffrey W. Loudermilk of Long Beach, California; grandchildren, Dareth Brooke Greene of Ronceverte, WV, Shauna Crowe of Frankford, WV, Rebekah "Becky" Walker of Roanoke, VA, Danielle "Dani" Greene of Ronceverte, WV and great-grandchildren, Flint Crowe, Katie Dillon, Brooklyn Dillon, Jack Ortega-Greene, and Lucas Dillon.

A memorial service is planned at Charlie Mackey Park in Maxwelton, WV on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 1 p.m. Any donations in his memory may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund@ https://curealz.org or similar Alzheimer's research organizations. Food will be provided by Enon Baptist Church, but if you would like to bring a covered dish, that would be welcomed. Also, we will be abiding by the covid-19 regulations and social distancing.
