Obituary for Judy Jehu Jeffries Judy Jehu Jeffries
Former Lumedex Project Manager Dies At Age 72

Judy Jehu Jeffries, 72, of 145 Old Sawmill Road, Covington, Virginia died Monday, June 29, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Jeffries was born October 29, 1947 in Newark Valley NY, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Struble and Dorothy Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Robert and Alma Jehu and also two brothers, Gordie Struble and Albert Hopkins.

Judy retired in 2013 from Lumedex as a project manager. Judy enjoyed her horses and going to car shows with her husband and gardening. She was devout Atlanta Braves fan.

Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Charlie C. Jeffries, Jr. of Covington; two sons, Tony Ballweg of Savannah, GA and Scott Ballweg and Sandra Perea of Northwest, AR; two daughters, Valerie Urban and husband, Corey of Covington, and Kimberly Myrick and her husband, Jason of Mt. Sidney; 11 grandchildren, a number of brothers and sisters, a number of nieces and nephews, a special friend Kama Fernandez of Florida, and also her fur babies, Zeus and Bob.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held Sunday July 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The family receive their friends following the service.

Memorial contributions in her name can made to Boiling Spring Fire and Rescue, 5407 Potts Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426.
