Amber Elizabeth Reed, 36, of Glasgow, Virginia passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020.

A graveside service was held Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Glasgow Cemetery.

Amber was born October 22, 1983 in Hartford County, Md. to Jackson D. Shifflett Jr. and Angelia B. Shifflett. They relocated to Rockbridge County in 1986. This was where Amber grew up and attended school and eventually met her husband.

Amber was a homemaker while her husband worked at FEI and C&S.

Her interest included kayaking and spending time with her loved ones.

Amber's greatest accomplishment was her children and she was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her husband, David Reed of Glasgow, and Abigail and Ayden Reed, also of Glasgow, and Andrew Shifflett of Lexington; parents, Jackson D. Shifflett Jr. and his wife, Vickie T. Shifflett of Natural Bridge, and Angelia Shifflett of Lexington; siblings, Amanda S. Carter of Glasgow and Tony Foster of Natural Bridge; as well as many friends and other family.

Amber was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dottie Lynn of Buena Vista and Ethel Shifflett of Glasgow.
