Clifton Forge Resident Was Army Veteran, Former Brown's Auto Repair Owner

William Edward (Bill) Brown, Sr., 92, of 100 Revere Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his residence.

He was born October 17, 1927 in Clifton Forge, a son of the late John Henry and Rose Brown.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, the former owner operator of Brown's Auto Repair of Clifton Forge, and a former cement plant operator. He also loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylverine Wilson Brown in 2014; a son, William E. "Bro" Brown, Jr.; eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Brown of Hyattsville, Maryland; a granddaughter, Jasmine Lynch of Washington, D.C.; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In light of the current COVID 19 Pandemic, a private graveside service will be held.

Friends may visit on Friday at Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge during normal business hours.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 3959 Electric Road, Suite 357, Roanoke, Va. 24018.
