Self-Employed Logger, Farmer Dies At Age 75

Noel Ilo Hull, 75, of Doe Hill, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at his home.

He was born November 29, 1944 in Doe Hill, a son of the late Meredith Ilo and Elsie Mae (Harris) Hull.

On July 27, 1964 he married Doris Marie Smith.

Noel was raised and held membership in Doe Hill United Methodist Church. Additionally, Noel was a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge #769.

He was a lifelong self-employed logger and farmer who took great pride in his work. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but above all his greatest joy was time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his wife of 56 years, Doris Hull; his two sons, Thomas "Tom" Lowell Hull and wife, Stephanie and Noel "Juny" Ilo Hull Jr. and wife, Adrienne, all of Doe Hill; two sisters, Darlene Mae Harold and husband, Luther Jr. of Doe Hill and Leta Grey Norfleet and husband, Larry of Warm Springs; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Whitney Harper, Brooklynn, Summer, Dallis, Jadalyn and Braylin Hull.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Ann Smith and Meredith Arlene Colaw.

A private graveside service will be held in Totten Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.

Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so at Obaugh Funeral Home, between the hours of 8 a.m. – 12 noon Thursday, September 3rd.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Tom and Juny, Delbert Rexrode Jr., Brent Sponaugle, Steve Hull, Billy Grant, Jeff and Philip Radar, James Holston and Lester Propst.
