Obituary for James Michael Beaudette James Michael Beaudette
Retired HUD Director Dies At Age 64

James Michael Beaudette, 64, of 5002 Jackson River Road, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Beaudette was born February 9, 1956 in Fairbanks, AK, the son of Luella Buckman Beaudette and the late John R. Beaudette in 2020.

James was a retired Director with the Department of HUD Office of General Council. Mr. Beaudette retired from the United States Air Force and Army while serving during Vietnam. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Alleghany Gun Club, and was chief of the Polling Precinct in King George, VA. He served on the Selective Service Committee Draft Board and was a member of NIMBS, otherwise known as Operation Alliance and was issued a letter at the time from former Vice President George H. W. Bush.

He loved to shoot and do woodworking and ride his bike every morning.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Hot Springs, is his wife of 37 years, Billie Kendrick Beaudette of Hot Springs; three brothers, John Beaudette of Reno, NV, Joseph Beaudette and wife, Susan of Colorado Springs, CO, and Daniel Beaudette of Calumet, MI; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.

No service has been scheduled at this time.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Beaudette's name to the Christmas Mother at P. O. Box 242, Covington, VA 24426.
