On Sunday September 13, 2020, John Blalock, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 78.

He was born on January 9, 1942 in Boiling Springs, S.C. to Raymond and Avalene Blalock.

He was married on August 7, 1966 to Martha Jackson.

Together they had three sons, Christopher, Jeff and Jason.

John enjoyed running his beagles, taking trips out West and helping his son and grandson on the farm. He was a great storyteller and could brighten anyone's day with his presence.

John was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; his mother, Avalene; uncle, Earl and son, Jason.

He is survived by his wife, Martha; sons, Chris (Cathy) and Jeff; grandchildren, Jordon (Racheal) and Baylee.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16 at Old Providence Presbyterian Cemetery.
