Former Frankford High School Graduate Dies At Age 80

Alfred Hall Williams, 80, of Beckley, WV, died Monday, September 21, 2020.

Born May 11, 1940 in Hughart, WV, he was the son of the late Lloyd Oscar and Mattie Jane Williams.

He graduated from Frankford High School in 1959.

Alfred was the sixth of ten children. He served his country in the U. S. Army for four years and found a great love of the country of Germany while serving there. He also graduated from Beckley College.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Rufus, Orville, Harry, Dale and Garland WIlliams; two sisters, Oretha Franke and Thelma Spencer and a great grandson, Liam McMillan.

He is survived by four children, Kathy Quesenberry (Jimmy), Jeff Williams (Lucy), Paula McMillan (Kevin), Sherman Williams (Bridget),; eight grandchildren, Eric McMillan (Kara), Jamie Schraer (John), Bryan McMillan (Brittany), Jenna Milam (Brent), Tod Williams, Aaron Williams (fiance, Tayler Kline), D.J. McMillan and Nathan Williams; great grandchildren, Tucker Smith, Addi McMillan, Trenton Smith, Deacon Schraer, Nolan McMillan, Zane McMillan and Dawson Schraer and the mother of his children, Ellen Wade Williams. Also surviving are two sisters, Ella Cantley and Louise Boothe, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews with whom he held close relationships.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Butch LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Pittsburgh, 451 44th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.

We will be following COVID – 19 Guidelines and request guests wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
