Tara Dee McClure, 54, of Glasgow, Virginia died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

She was born September 8, 1966 in Lexington, a daughter of the late Volney Beckner McClure Jr. and Lois Fay Conner McClure.

She was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church.

Surviving are her best friend, Kim Powell; sister, Suzanne Nicole McClure; nephew, Cameron McClure; niece, Montana Pooley; aunts, Kathy Faulkner, Tobie Snow and Tillie Conner; uncle, Ronald Ney; and fur babies, Brudy and Brave.

Tara attended Radford University and previously worked at Des Champs. She was an avid animal lover, loved nature and dearly loved her family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 8 at Glasgow Cemetery by the Rev. William Thomas. The family will receive friends at 25 Horse Country Lane in Glasgow after the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Cats Unlimited, P. O. Box 484, Lexington, VA 24450.
