Burnsville United Methodist Church Member Was Forklift Operator At Bacova Guild

Marshall (Junior) Durwood Colvin, Jr., 63, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home.

He was born March 24, 1957 in Staunton, a son of the late Marshall Durwood and Alice (Heintzleman) Colvin.

On September 22, 1994, he married Nancy Lee Roberts.

A member of Burnsville United Methodist Church, Junior worked at Bacova Guild as a forklift operator.

Junior was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed family trips to the beach, hunting and fishing. Above all, Junior cherished the time spent with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Junior is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy of Hot Springs; step-son, Chris Stanley and wife, Roberta of Burnsville; sister, Debbie Via and husband, Rick of Stuarts Draft; as well as many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Obaugh Funeral Home with pastor Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in Burnsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Stanley, Charles Rucker, Jack Lindsey, Rick Via and friends attending the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Doris L. Via Cancer Fund, P. O. Box 174, Hot Springs, Va. 24445.

The Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
