Darrell Franklin Sigmon, 85, of Alderson, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his residence.

Darrell was born on February 13, 1935 in Putnam County, WV. He was the son of the late Owen Foster and Besse May Hammonds Sigmon.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife in 2004, Hazel Louise Chapman Sigmon; siblings, Delma May Sigmon Persinger, Brenda Sue Sigmon, and Harold Foster Sigmon.

Survivors include his sons, Steven Lester Sigmon, and David Owen Sigmon; brother, Gerald Edward Sigmon; and grandchild, Shannon Krokos.

After high school, Darrell joined the United States Navy and after serving his country in the Korean War, he went on to be an Engineer for NASA. He was a member of the Alderson Lions Club, and also the NARFE.

Honoring his wishes, Darrell will be cremated and his ashes placed with his beloved wife, Hazel.
