Homemaker Was Warm Springs Presbyterian Church Member

Betty Lou Puffenbarger Simmons, 85, of Warm Springs, Virginia passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Springs Nursing Home in Hot Springs, VA.

She was born July 21, 1935 in Warm Springs, VA, the daughter of the late Clay Puffenbarger and Eulla Eckard Puffenbarger.

Betty was a former homemaker, member of Warm Springs Presbyterian Church, a loving wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her cats. She was a great cook and her favorite past time was feeding her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her husband, Harry Augustas Simmons whom she married in 1953 of Warm Springs, VA; a daughter, Linda Simmons of Warms Springs, VA; sister-in-law, Emma Simmons of Hot Springs, VA; a niece, Kim Kay of Warm Springs, Va; and a nephew, Steve Simmons of New York.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clay Puffenbarger of Covington, VA.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Warm Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Springs Nursing Center Activity Fund, P. O. Drawer 1, Hot Springs, Va 24445.
