Obituary for William Ray (Bill) Bayly William Ray (Bill) Bayly
Air Force Veteran Retired As Director of Maintenance, Building and Grounds at Southern Seminary

William Ray (Bill) Bayly of Buena Vista, Virginia went to be with the Lord peacefully Saturday, October 30, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

He was born on August 3, 1937 in Honesdale, Pa., and was preceded in death by his parents, Elwin and Margaret Bayly.

Bill was married for 30 years and survived by his wife, Linda Bayly.

He graduated from Honesdale High School, Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

Bill was an Air Force veteran and retired as the Director of Maintenance, Building and Grounds at Southern Seminary and was a part-time truck driver for May's Trucking.

He was the loving father of Kathryn Bayly, Jane Vaughan (Page), Barbara Bayly, Jennifer Tomlin (Travis), Cricket Chittum, Sherri Arthur (Bennett), Lewis Thurston, Travis Martin, Harold Coleman, Troy Coleman (Mary), and Amber Goodbar. He was the cherished Papa of Mackenzie Goodbar, Michael Hartless, Elizabeth Vaughan, Kristina Cosner, Christopher Vaughan, Katrina Moore, Kage Tomlin, Hayes Tomlin, Shayde Tomlin, Kayla Chittum, Johnathon Coleman, Zachary Coleman, Troy Coleman Jr, Logan Coleman, Kendal Painter, Braylon Painter, Joshua Martin, Tyler Martin, Whitney Ramsey, Jennifer Keesee, and Randi Scott; Great Grand Papa of Bryce, Conway, Lawson, Kimberly, Jordan, Diana, Tucker, Oliver, Maverick, Justin, Charlee, Brenden, Ashlynn, Branston, and Sawyer.

Bill is also survived by siblings, Dave Bayly (Molly), Dan Bayly (Marie), Tom Bayly (Sue), Jim Bayly (Joey), Jean Wollrab (Frank), and Steve Bayly (Carmen); several nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda Bayly-Smith, Letitia Wells, Shelia Wallace, Tommy Spangler, Calvin Higginbotham, Mike Mays and many more.

Bill is remembered for the love he had for his family, friends, and community. He loved and enjoyed spending free time with family and friends and camping.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Vista Links Clubhouse, Buena Vista. Pastor Terry Bostic will conduct the funeral. Bolling, Grose & Lotts is serving the Bayly family.
