Dorothy Jane Southers, 81, of Raphine, Virginia died Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Kings Daughters Nursing Home in Staunton.

Born January 24, 1939 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of Edward Baxter Tyree and Lena Ramsey Tyree.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Southers Sr.

Surviving are her children, Norma Jean Rudolph, James Lloyd Southers Jr., Frederick William Southers and Doris Jane Souer; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. David Bain. Masks and social distancing are required.
