Ben Vaden Wright, 101, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

Born January 14, 1919 in Buena Vista, he was the son of the late Forrest Wright and Nettie Montgomery Wright.

He was World War II Army veteran and retired from James Lees with 34 years of service.

Ben was a member of Neriah Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by brothers, James, Elwood, Albert, Marshall, Hayden and David Wright; sister, Nannie Huffman; and an infant brother and sister.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Painter Wright; daughter, Vickie W. Koss (Eugene); granddaughter, Amy Lee (Christopher); grandson, Joel Koss; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Aidan Lee; sister, Helen Bare; brothers, Claude Neil Wright and Harvey Wright; special nephew, Steve Wright; special niece, Kathy Painter; along with other nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
