Frances Virginia Cline, 99, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab.

Born January 23, 1921 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Graham Swisher and Cloie Arehart Swisher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Carl Cline.

Frances was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and spent her life caring for her family and her home.

Surviving are her son, Carl Thomas Cline of Staunton, and daughter, Carol J. Hostetter and fiancé, Paul Smothers of Lexington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and one special granddaughter, Alley, who cared for her weekly.

Do to COVID-19, the service will be private.

The family would like to give special thanks to Shenandoah Valley Nursing & Rehab for all the care provided to her while she was there.
