White Sulphur Springs Resident Was Army Veteran, Longtime Hercules, Inc. Mechanic

Ralph Clayton Wickline, 85, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, the last of his immediate family, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Alleghany County.

He was born on June 21, 1935 in Roxalia, WV, to the late Harland and Hallie Hoke Wickline.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Braden, Danese Crowder, Iva Lee Gibson; brothers, Orville Wickline, Leo Wickline, and Wilbur Wickline.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce Wickline of White Sulphur Springs; daughters, Teresa Monday (Joanah "Joe"), Melissa Wickline; son, Rodney Wickline (Sarah); granddaughter, Addilynn Faith Wickline, whom he dearly loved; and grandchildren that were special to him, Skylar Brooks, Cailin Garrett, and Joe Garrett; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A proud U. S. Army veteran, Ralph worked for Hercules for 38 years as a mechanic. He was a man that could fix anything. He loved old westerns, gardening, hunting and cooking.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs, with Pastor Ralph Hubbard officiating.

Burial will follow at Mapledale Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. We ask those attending to follow the recommended Covid-19 guidelines such as, wearing a mask, social distancing when possible, and staying home if running a temperature.
