Ronnie Homer Martin Sr., 73, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Born June 14, 1947 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Emory Homer Martin and Mary Smith Martin.

Ronnie retired from Woody Chevrolet and loved cars and dirt track racing.

Surviving are his children, Ronnie Martin Jr. (Dawn) and Wendy Angela Martin, both of Buena Vista; Kimberly Dawn Martin of Deerfield and Stacy Craig Hamilton (Ben) of Fairfield; brother, Timothy Allen Martin of Lexington; sister, Denise Martin Harrison of Buena Vista; seven grandchildren, Lukus Martin, Boyd Howdyshell, Aaron Howdyshell, Stormi Dawn Martin, Allyson Worth, Samuel Hamilton and Matthew Hamilton; life partner for over 40 years, Marjorie Fitzgerald Craig; and special friend, Patricia Derr.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30 at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Stephen Renalds officiating. Social distancing and masks are required.
