Richard C. Pleasant, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2021.

Rick was a former resident of Hampton, Virginia. He returned to his birthplace of Covington, Virginia, 22 years ago.

He was employed by WestRock for 18 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Ramsey, and sister, Debbie Daley.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Ramsey of Covington, Va.; his beloved wife, Kathy Pleasant of Covington; two daughters, both of Covington: Kristina Pleasant and Jennifer Wolfe, and Jonah Poe; two granddaughters, Taylor Pleasant and Katie Pleasant; three grandsons, Lino Gonzales, William Wolfe III and Richard Wolfe; one great-grandson, Damien Gonzales; three sisters, Lisa Jennings, Linda Flower and Glenda Pleasant; two brothers, Mike Downs and Robbie Pleasant, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rick was a devoted husband and father, an amazing grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his world. Rick was also a member of Covington Masonic Lodge No. 171 A.F. & A.M.
