Obituary for Myrtle Belle Reed Myrtle Belle Reed
Lewisburg Resident Worked With Several Greenbrier Hotel Shoppes

Myrtle Belle Reed, 93, of Seasons Place, Lewisburg, West Virginia, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, passed away January 8, 2021 at Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.

She was born August 18, 1927 in Caldwell, WV,the daughter of the late Clarence S. and Gladys Thomas Kessinger.

Myrtle Belle was a graduate of White Sulphur Springs High School, a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, member of the Green Mitt Garden Club, operated the Jack and Jill Play School for over 20 years and had worked at several of the Shoppes at the Greenbrier Hotel.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. "Tommy" Reed in February 2019; a son, Thomas Kenton Reed and a brother, Bill Kessinger.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ceda Jean Reed and her companion, Bill Burghy of Morgantown; her son, Curtis E. Reed and his wife, Debbie of White Sulphur Springs; sisters, Charlotte Rock of New Castle, VA. and Betty Collachio of Augusta, GA. And her little Furry Pal, "Sasha".

Due to Covid 19, Myrtle's wishes were to be cremated.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
