Rockbridge County Native Was Burlington Industries Retiree, Lexington Baptist Church Member

Lucy Frances Dudley Marshall of Plank Road (Rockbridge County, Virginia) gained her wings on January 10, 2021.

She is having a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time.

She was born on November 14, 1936 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Otho Herman Dudley and Nellie Lee Dudley.

Lucy was the sixth of 10 siblings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dexter Marshall Jr.

Lucy was a member of Lexington Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries with more than 30 years of service.

She also loved the family, bluegrass, and managed the Plank Road Express band for years.

She is survived by her brother, Wilton Dudley and sister, Joanne D. Moore. She leaves behind three children, Ronnie and Bridget Marshall, Debbie and Jerry Dameron of Natural Bridge, and Linda Sue Marshall of Staunton; grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, Sarah and Molly; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Elizabeth, Matthew, Honesty, Birdie, Ruby, Devin, Ann Marie and Gracie.

There will be a private graveside service.
