Betty Ayers Hartbarger, 81, of Lexington, Virginia, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Heritage Hall.

Born January 22, 1939 in Lexington, she was a daughter of Sheridan Ayres and Jessie Trevey Ayres.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Herbert Davidson Hartbarger.

Surviving are her son, David Hartbarger and one grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Patrick Lanaghan.
