Because of Willie's heart to serve, he volunteered to build the steps for the baptismal pool at Union Baptist Church. He also attended church at Dominion Now Word in Lynchburg. He labored for the Lord on the Men's Intercessory Prayer Ministry and loved playing the bass guitar with the church musicians.
