Mr. Robert Lee Smith, age 68, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at his residence.

He was the husband of Beverley Jane McClung Smith.

Mr. Smith was born June 29, 1952 in Covington, the son of the late Eugene Harvey Smith and Violet Humphries Smith.

He was the owner and operator of his own painting business before his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Beverley, Mr. Smith is survived by two sons, Joshua Smith and wife, Nikki and Austin Smith along with their mother, Shelia Smith; two daughters, Elizabeth Givens and Laura Stapleton; numerous grandchildren including his special grandchild, Nella Lee and great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Smith and Jerry Smith and wife, Mary; and two sisters, Nacey Coleman and Susan Scruggs.

In accordance with his wishes, a private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011.
