Obituary for Ruth Mae Braden Ruth Mae Braden
White Sulphur Springs Resident Was Retired Greenbrier Hotel Maid

Ruth Mae Braden, 92, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away on January 24, 2021 at her residence.

Ruth was born January 8, 1929 in Alvon, WV, the daughter of the late Edward E. and Zonia Vance Waid.

Mrs. Braden was a member of Greenbrier Valley Baptist Church and was a retired maid at the Greenbrier Hotel.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred T. Braden, Sr.; a granddaughter, Heather Braden and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her sons, Alfred T. Braden, Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, and Edward F. Braden and his wife, Becky of Gap Mills; grandchildren, Melody Braden, Mindy Edmond (Tyler), Ezra Braden, Uriah and Maya Braden; great grandchildren, Laynee and Naomi; sister, Mabel Martin and brother, Oliver Waid, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Braden will be cremated and her cremains will be placed with her husband at Whatcoat Cemetery.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
