Lexington Resident Was Rails End Welder, Collierstown United Methodist Church Member

Wayne Bowers Knick, 78, of Lexington, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital.

He was born September 29, 1942 in Lexington, a son of Paul E. Knick and Leona Plogger Knick.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Morrison Hall.

He was a member of Collierstown United Methodist Church and was a welder fabricator for Rails End.

Wayne loved hunting and fishing, but his main love was for his family.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Linda Emore Knick; children, Sean Knick (Debbie) of Washington, Tucker Knick (Kristina) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sgt. 1st Class Elliot Knick (Teresa) of Manchester, Ga., and Erinn Knick-Wyatt of Lexington; six grandchildren, Sean Knick II (Kelsa), Sierra Bradberry (Zachary), Olivia Knick, Zoe Knick, Paxton Wyatt, Bowers Wyatt; two great-grandchildren, Camden Sorrels and Huntley Sorrels; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, J. Wyatt, Fred Clark and Wade Howell.

There will be no funeral service.
