Obituary for Roy E (Eddie) Williams, Sr. Roy E. (Eddie) Williams, Sr.
Covington Resident Was McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church Member, Local Volunteer

Roy E, (Eddie) Williams, Sr., 92, of Covington, Virginia, died after an extended illness on January 25, 2021 in Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Mr. Williams was born September 15, 1928 in Covington, the son of the late John Bert and Beatrice Lula Rusmisel Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Maxine Agnor Williams; brothers, Ryland Williams and Lewis Williams.

He is survived by two sons, Roy E Williams, Jr. of Redford, Michigan and Boyd A Williams of Ashburn, Virginia; a brother, John Williams of Covington; a sister, Barbara Fawley of Covington; three grandchildren, Cheri Morgan (Chris), Kaitlyn Rzucidlo (Jeff), and Parker Williams (Nick); four great-grandchildren Aiden Morgan, Kolton Adams, Karter Adams, and Oliver Starr; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was a member and former Elder of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he was active in the COPE Food Pantry at McAllister for many years. He also had been a volunteer with the March of Dimes.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, with Reverend Douglas Hollenbeck officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the COPE Food Pantry at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church at 900 N. Alleghany Avenue in Covington, or to the Covington Rescue Squad at 435 W. Hawthorne Street in Covington.
