Robert Joseph Stanley, age 59, of 104 Walton Church Lane, Lot GG, Clifton Forge, Virginia passed on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his residence.

Robert was born April 15, 1961 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Joseph Fletcher Selleck and Onva Burger Stanley.

He enjoyed football and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Stanley and Billy Stanley; and two sisters, Joy Lawhorne and Terry Bland.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stanley of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Kristie Depriest and husband, Josh of Clifton Forge, and Patsy Smith and her fiancé, Joey of Bath County; two sons, Bobby Smith and wife, April of Covington, and Joseph Stanley and wife, Whitney of Clifton Forge; a sister, Jackie Brown and husband, Tyrone of Eagle Rock; two brothers, Ronnie Stanley and wife, Anne of Smith Mountain Lake and Johnny Stanley of Covington; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating.
