Ronald Clare Hayden, age 80, of 1132 Madison Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany in Low Moor.

Ronald was born January 21, 1941 in Ohio to the late Ralph Thomas and Helen Barbenell Hayden.

He was a plant operator for A.E.T., formerly of Hercules, and a member of Faith Baptist Church of Covington, where he belonged to the Adult Fellowship Class.

He was a kind and gentle man who loved the Lord. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathryn Koleen Alexander Hayden of Clifton Forge, and Heather Tucker of Rich Patch, whom he helped raise, and to whom he was a loving, godly father figure.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, with Reverend Billy Price officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call anytime at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, to sign the guestbook, and after Saturday, February 20, 2021, the casket will be closed.
