Melvin Kenneth Davis, 82, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

Born May 1, 1938 in Lexington, he was a son of the late George Howard Davis and Mildred Lyle Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Pleasants.

He attended the Way of the Lord Church in Richmond and was an active joint heir of the church. Melvin liked to watch sports.

Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Ann Henderson Davis; sons, Ellis O. Henderson of Richmond, and Meldan and his wife, Maria of North Carolina; brothers, Steve, Howard and John; eight grandchildren, Ellis II, Emani, Enyia, Isaiah, Keirria, Elonah, Amiah and Price; one great-grandchild, Jeremy; and extended family members.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
