Obituary for Melissa Keene Vance Melissa Keene Vance
Ronceverte Resident Was Greenbrier Valley Church Of The Nazarene Member

Melissa Keene Vance, 60, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg after a battle with cancer.

Melissa was born January 19, 1961 in Ronceverte, WV, the daughter of the late James Harold and Eloise Marie Lowe Keene.

She was a very active and faithful member of the Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene.

Melissa was a retired custodian for 20 years with Eastern Greenbrier Middle School. Probably one of the highlights of her growing up was helping her parents work and run what was known as "Take A Break" video store in Fairlea.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Lowe Keene.

Those left to cherish her memory was her loving husband, Paul William Vance; daughter, Venny Blankenship (Mike) of Rocky Mount, NC.; son, Jacob Wade (Kayla Anderson) of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Lexi and Graci Thomason, Gage Ryan and Hadley Ryann Wade.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Terry Simpkins officiating.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church.

Due to Covid 19 regulations it is suggested that attendees wear masks and social distancing.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
