Irene Douglas, 69, of Lexington, Virginia, died Monday, March 1, 2021 at Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Born October 1, 1951 in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Minnie Douglas.

Irene attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

She loved to spend time at home listening to music and watching her shows. When she did get out, one of her favorite pastimes was shopping.

Surviving are her son, Sheldon Douglas; daughter, Tina Douglas; three grandchildren; brother, Robert Bruce Douglas and five sisters, Mildred Thurman, Josephine Carter, Pauline Rhodes, Betty Douglas, Connie Douglas, all of Buena Vista; and special friends, John and Darlene Higgins and Karen Campbell.

A service will be held at a later date.
