Wilton Eugene (Toots) Dudley, 86, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, died Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Born October 22, 1934 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Otho Herman Dudley and Nellie Lee Dudley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Edith Clark, Edgar Dudley, Fred Dudley, Jackson Dudley, Wayne Dudley, Homer Dudley, Lee Dudley and Lucy Marshall.

Wilton was a member of Collierstown Baptist Church and had spent his working years as a carpenter.

"Toots" proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley M. Dudley; his children, Rita Bell (Myron), Mark Dudley (Diane), and Todd Dudley (Martha); seven grandchildren, Olivia Dudley, Catherine Dudley, Margaret Dudley, Colin Bell, Megan Bell, Jennifer Scott and Julie Tanner; three great-grandchildren, Cadence Tanner, Harrison Tanner and Amelia Scott; a sister, JoAnne Moore (Graham); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Krystowiak officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Natural Bridge Fire Department, 5705 S. Lee Highway, Natural Bridge, VA 24578.
