Janet Fisher of Red Jacket, West Virginia, was born on June 18, 1948 in Glen Wilton, Virginia, a daughter of the late French Junior and Viola (Martin).

Fisher departed this life on Monday afternoon March 1, 2021 while an inpatient in the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center of South Williamson, KY. Janet was 72 years old.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Charles Reid and a granddaughter, Shailee Hollandsworth.

Janet, being of the Christian Faith, devoted most of her working life serving others, for she had a servant's heart. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, who took great pride in the care that she gave to her patients. Janet went on to work as a bus driver - she was honored to transport her students on a daily basis. She was a hard worker who loved her family above all else. She will indeed be missed.

Those that survive her include her daughters, Tammy Reid Ware of Bedford, VA and Michaela Roden and her fiancé, David E. Maynard of Red Jacket, WV; sons, William Reid of Bemidji, MN and Michael Reid and his wife, Tammy of Clifton Forge, VA; sister, Dorothy Taylor of Salem, VA; brothers, Paul Fisher of Eagle Rock, VA and Dale Fisher of Savannah, GA; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Janet is also survived by her beloved companion, her dog, "Sugar."

In respecting the wishes of Janet, she will be cremated and the family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to Save Our Strays at 409 Deskins Drive, Williamson, WV, 25661.
