Obituary for Frederick R. Lawson Frederick R. Lawson
Former Lexington Resident Dies In Maryland

Frederick R. Lawson, 77, of Eden, Md., formerly of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at his residence.

Born on September 28, 1943, he was a son of Sylvia L. Sutphin and Samuel Lawson.

Mr. Lawson was a truck driver.

He was a life member of Tony Tank Tribe No. 149, Redmens in Fruitland and the Salisbury Moose Lodge No. 654.

Mr. Lawson is survived by three children: his son, Frederick R. "Ric" Lawson Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Eden, his daughter, Tracye Crist Of Boise, Idaho, and son, James Lawson and his wife, Cathy of Hebron; his stepchildren, Dennis Roberts of Buena Vista, Debbie Bauer of Clarksville, Tenn., and Alfred Roberts Jr. of West Virginia; and his ex-wives, Lois Dalton and Norville Merritt; his grandchildren, Mandy Kolb and husband, Matt, Candace Crist, Melissa Lively and husband, Joey, Cody Lawson, Alex Lawson, Amelia Clark and her fiancé, James Bone, Anthony Clark, and Lee Anna Collier and husband, Brad; 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Brenda Stoner and husband, Randy; and his brother-in-law, Ned Bradford; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his best friends, Tommy and Jo Ann Chittum and Clarence and Bonnie Hicks.

He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mindy Lawson; brothers, Sam Lawson Jr. and Marshall Lawson; and sisters, Joan Bradford, Shirley Sanders and Billy Jean Camerisi.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 2 at 2 p.m. at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens in Rockbridge County.

Arrangements are being handled by Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, Md., and Harrison Funeral Home.
