Obituary for Ruth Lorene Persinger Spangler Bush Ruth Lorene Persinger Spangler Bush
Clifton Forge Resident Was Former Florist, Epworth United Methodist Church Member

Ruth Lorene Persinger Spangler Bush, age 86, formerly of 358 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at The Brian Center Health and Rehab Center in Low Moor.

Ruth was born January 1, 1935 in Virginia to the late Rufus Emmet and Minnie Belle Riddlebarger Persinger.

She was a Florist for the former Clifton Florist and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Bernard Spangler, Sr., her second husband, Thomas Wayne Bush, and a daughter, Sherry Spangler Clark.

She is survived by a daughter, Christie Spangler Perdue and husband, Glenn of Clifton Forge; a son, Bernard "Tooty" Spangler, Jr. and wife, Vicki of Caroline County; a son-in-law, David Clark of Iron Gate; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Walton and Helen Warren, both of Selma; three grandchildren, Christopher N. Spangler, John Patrick LePard, and Stephanie L. Clark; five great grandchildren, John Patrick LePard, Jr., Kansas Lynn LePard, Charlotte Clark, Elliot Spangler, and Adeline Spangler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rich Patch, Covington. Interment will immediately follow. Masks are required. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time during normal business hours at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
