Arlene Jane Breese Lesher, 77, of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab.

Born October 11, 1943 in La Porte, Ind., she was a daughter of the late LeRoy W. Breese and Marcelline Johnson Breese.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. She liked to read and filled her home with books and was an avid Civil War historian. She loved to spend time with her family but especially loved the time spent with the babies, and sharing family history stories.

Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Lesher; children, Deborah Lynn Lesher Muller (Frank) of La Porte, Ind., Robert T. Lesher (Christine) of Fredericksburg, and Jonathan S. Lesher (Melissa) of Buena Vista; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harlean Jean Breese Bruce (Cliff) of Glens Falls, N.Y.

No service will be held at this time.
