Virginia Irene Carter, 73, of Rupert, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Born on July 17, 1947 in Covington, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Radford Salyers and Virginia Tucker Salyers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2012 and her sisters, Linda Oliver and Nancy Salyers.

She was a member of the Big Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Hope Carter (Clyde); sons, Jimmy Carter and Shane Carter; grandchildren, James, Katelyn, Hunter, Shana and Harper; great grandchildren, Khia, Atticus, Kalayah and Kennedy and a brother, Eddie Salyers (Gloria).

Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Star Cemetery, Potts Creek, Virginia. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
