Selma Resident Worked With Hercules, Clifton Forge Public Works Department

Tommy George Harless, age 81, of 1013 Donovan Street, Selma, Virginia died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Brian Center Rehab and Nursing Care, Low Moor.

He was born July 18, 1939 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Paul Harless and Vertie Lambert Harless.

He was a retired Public Works operative for the City or Clifton Forge.

He served in the U. S. Army, and was also a former employee of Hercules.

He was a previous member of the Clifton Forge Elks Lodge (B.P.O.E.) #1065, the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge #1683, enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, and listening to Blue Grass Music.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his cousin, Darlene Drake.

Tommy is survived by his cousin in-law, Donald Drake and his two children, Donald Drake Jr. and Deanna Drake; special friends, Donnie Hayslett, Teresa Weikle, Nancy Nicely, H. W. Connor, Jim and Millie Keiser, Cookie Reynolds, the girls from Hardees, and the motorcycle group.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with J. D. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
