Obituary for Anna Lee Majors O'Connor Anna Lee Majors O'Connor
Lifetime Member Of The Buena Vista Fire Department Auxiliary Dies At Age 79

Anna Lee Majors O_Connor, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 17, at Shenandoah Valley Rehab Center, Buena Vista, Virginia.

She would have celebrated her 80th birthday on May 26, 2021.

She was the eldest of four children born to Burton and Cinda Majors.

She was the widow of David S. O'Connor and the mother of Bernadette Conner.

Ann was a lifetime member of the Buena Vista Fire Department Auxiliary and was active for many years in supporting the fire department in all of their activities. She was also a member of American Legion Post 126 Auxiliary.

She was predeceased by her husband, David; her parents, Burton and Cinda Majors; two brothers, Paul Majors and Carl Majors; and her mother-in-law, Madeline O'Connor.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bernadette and Billy Conner; her granddaughter, Amanda and Derrick Smith; her great-grandson, Corbyn Smith; her sister, Peggy Sue Lukas of Williamsburg; her sister-in-law, Barbara Majors of Buena Vista; her stepdaughters, Shannon and Mike Hughes of Robertsdale, Ala., and Angie and Davey Walker of Buena Vista and their children Austin and Lindsey Hughes of Oklahoma and their children Claire, Derek and Bryan, Michaela Hughes and Shaun Hughes of Robertsdale, Ala., and Taylor Walker of West Virginia and his children, Bailey and Sky; and many nieces, nephews, many dear friends and special caregiver, Linda Berkstresser.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 21 at 3 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery. Friends who attend are asked to wear masks and to social distance.

Memorial gifts may be made in her name to BVFD Auxiliary, 2010 Sycamore Ave., Buena Vista, VA 24416.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
