Obituary for Bernard Leon Wyatt Bernard Leon Wyatt
World War II, Korean War Veteran, Dies At Age 98

Bernard Leon Wyatt, 98, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, formerly of Spencer, WV, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Peyton Hospice House.

Born April 15, 1923 in Richardson, WV, he was the son of the late Hilden "Dick" Wyatt and Nina Mae McCune Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt retired from the WV Department of Transportation as a grader operator. Prior to his work with the Department of Transportation he worked in the oil field Industry.

He attended the Little Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Wyatt was a U. S. Army World War II and Korean War veteran. He served in the 285th Combat Engineers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Goff Wyatt and a sister, Lorene Alice Wyatt Nicholson and a son-in-law, Larry Dale Tucker. Survivors include his wife, Patty Roberts Wyatt; son, Roger Dale Wyatt (Susie) of Lewisburg, WV; daughter, Susan Lynn Tucker of Reedy, WV; grandchildren, David Tucker (Heather Miler), Brian Wyatt (Carrie) and Calley Wyatt (Sarah), and great grandchildren, Caston Wyatt, Hunter Wyatt, Mikayla Wyatt, Logan Wyatt, Owen Snedegar, Savanah Miller, and Blake Tucker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Sam McClung officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home.

A second service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Taylor Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Spencer, WV with Pastor Mark Wood officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Sunday, at Taylor Funeral Home.

We will be following COVID-19 regulations and request all guests wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
