Jennings And Webb Truck Company Truck Driver Dies At Age 71

Gary Wayne Jennings, 71, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 in LewisGale Medical Center at Salem.

Mr. Jennings was born June 10, 1949 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Meredith Jennings, Sr. and Betty Arrington Jennings Fitzgerald.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Dawn W. Rickett and a brother, Meredith "Bugs" Jennings, Jr.

Gary served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.

Gary worked at Jennings and Webb Trucking Company as truck driver.

Surviving his wife, Pat Martin Jennings of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Michelle Shamblin of Selma; a stepson, David A. Williams of Covington; a stepdaughter, Kim Ambsuley of West Palm Beach, Fl.; two brothers, Timothy Jennings and Julie Leonard of Ash, NC. and William Jennings of Covington; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A service will be held at later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Jenning's name to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, Va. 24457.
